Amanda Peet, born January 11, 1972 was an American actress. Peet has been on stage, TV, and in films. Peet was a student of Uta Hagen at Columbia University. She began her career in commercials for television before moving to roles in smaller television before her debut in film in 1995. Her role as a lead actor in The Whole Nine Yards, the 2000 comedy film that earned her more attention. Many films have featured her, such as Saving Silverman (2001), Something's Gotta Give (2003), Identity (2003), The Ex (2007, comedy-drama remake), Identity (2006), The X-Files (2008), The Ex (2007 romance comedy), The Ex (2007 science fiction film), The X-Files: The Ex Wants to Believe (2008) as well as the drama about disasters (2012). She was also in Jack & Jill (1999), Studio 60 on Sunset Strip (2006) as well as Togetherness (2015-2016).
